All’interno della nostra Direzione Medica lavorano Medici con il ruolo di Medical Science Liaison che svolgono un ruolo fondamentale nel trasferire le nostre conoscenze scientifiche per avere un impatto positivo sul cambiamento della vita dei pazienti.
Il Medical Science Liaison è il primo punto di contatto per qualsiasi aspetto o problema medico/scientifico relativo ai prodotti assegnati, impegnato nello Scambio Scientifico sia con i team di Bristol Myers Squibb, sia con i principali esperti esterni, gli operatori sanitari e gli sperimentatori clinici.
Il Medical Science Liaison si confronta con esperti a livello nazionale ed internazionale per aumentare l’attenzione sulla malattia e sulle opzioni terapeutiche, per identificare bisogni clinici insoddisfatti, lacune nelle evidenze scientifiche e per ottenere insights.

IL MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON IN BMS è responsabile di:

• Fungere da punto di contatto all'interno del team Medical Affairs per gli Opinion leaders e gli esperti nella tua area geografica al fine di soddisfare le loro esigenze di approfondimento scientifico nell'area terapeutica e per i prodotti assegnati, garantendone l'uso sicuro, efficace e appropriato.
• Assicurare la leadership scientifica costruendo relazioni professionali con gli Opinion leaders e gli esperti delle aree terapeutiche.
• Garantire una forte presenza medico-scientifica nei principali centri accademici, facilitando le iniziative di ricerca e di formazione e supportando le richieste di approfondimento scientifico sulle aree terapeutiche assegnate.
• Assistere nell'avvio, supervisione e follow-up degli studi clinici e dei progetti medici avviati nell'ambito dell'area terapeutica e del territorio assegnato.
• Fungere da punto di contatto con gli Opinion leaders per facilitare la condivisione di idee di ricerca clinica o pre-clinica e la sottomissione di richieste di supporto per la ricerca sponsorizzata dagli sperimentatori (Investigator Sponsored Research, ISR) al team medica locale e/o a quello Worldwide, a seconda dei casi.
• Interagire con gli Opinion leaders che l'azienda desidera coinvolgere in attività come potenziali collaborazioni di ricerca, ruoli educazionali o di consulenza (Advisory Boards, Congressi, Simposi, ecc.), garantendo al contempo un elevato livello di integrità scientifica ed educazionale.
• Partecipare a congressi scientifici di rilievo. Collaborare con gli stakeholder interni per sviluppare una reportistica tempestiva sui dati chiave e altre informazioni scientificamente rilevanti per informare le iniziative strategiche di BMS.

Altre attività:

• Fornire supporto scientifico alla preparazione della Field Force per garantire standard di alta qualità nello svolgimento delle loro attività.
• Supportare i medici responsabili di prodotto e il dipartimento di Farmacovigilanza nella gestione degli eventi avversi (ad es. raccolta di informazioni di follow-up).
• Supporto al team WW per le attività assegnate.

CHIESI GLOBAL RARE DISEASES 
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused onresearch, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-raredisorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma.
Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology,ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leadersin scientific research, patient advocacy and care.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This is what you will do

• Support the clinical team in relevant medical and scientific aspects of the assigned global clinical studieswithin the global clinical development program.
• Contributes to the risk/benefit assessment of the ongoing clinical trials assigned.
• May act as the primary medical monitor for an assigned clinical study.
• Contributes to the production of the Common Technical Document, in terms of validation of scientificdocuments relevant to the assigned clinical study (e.g. study protocol, investigator’s brochure, clinicalstudy reports) and represents the company in front of health authorities, partners and institutions.
• Develops and enhances the management of the clinical trials, working in collaboration with the ClinicalProgram Leader and other relevant roles and ensures medical and scientific validity of the assignedclinical studies in terms of design, conduct and interpretation.

You will be responsible for

• Acting as a member of the program meetings and/or Clinical Study Team, in cooperation with other StudyTeam Members, to support the design, conduct and analysis as well as data interpretation of assignedclinical studies, including the preparation of key relevant clinical documentation, in accordance to theClinical Development Plan and agreed timelines (e.g. clinical sections of the Investigator’s Brochure,clinical section of the Investigational Medicinal Product Dossier, protocols, protocol’s amendments,clinical study reports).
• Conducting medical and scientific review on the data of the ongoing and completed clinical trial data withthe appropriate oversight from the Clinical Program Leader (CPL).
• As a clinical expert, supporting the CPL in interactions with internal and external stakeholders acting asthe subject matter expert in the assigned product(s) and relevant disease(s) area, maintaining andenhancing knowledge in relevant technical or therapeutic areas and in global regulations/guidelines.
• Interfacing a diverse range of scientific external experts (e.g., regulatory, payors, CROs, consultants,investigators) in order to deliver clinical programs and align on business strategy and address patients’needs.
• Identifying potential trends and support internal decision making, securing timely publication of clinicaldata according to the agreed publication plan.
• Ensure the development of a robust, optimized, efficient and innovative trial designs, including selectionof clinical endpoints, patients populations and medical monitoring strategy, partnering with all relevantdisciplines, as well as upholding Company standards, standard operating procedures, and agreed keyperformance indicators.
• Support in the design of post-registration clinical studies to secure the growth of the brand according tothe life-cycle management of the product and the relative clinical development plan.

You will need to have

• Medical Doctor degree
• 2+ years of experience as Clinical Research Physicians/Medical Monitor in Pharmaceutical Companies orClinical Research Organizations
• Relevant experience in clinical or academic research in rare diseases or Experience in Clinical Development(clinical trial design, conduct and interpretation)

We would prefer for you to have

• Preferred Specializations (not binding): Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Immunology,Neurology.
• Past experience in Rare Diseases (clinical or in the pharmaceutical field) is desirable.
